Ethel Congo Barrett Horton, 76, of Goshen, with family in Poughquag and Millbrook, died Jan. 9, 2000 at Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen. Mrs. Horton was a housewife and a local resident for two years. Born Aug. 4, 1923, in Pawling, she was the daughter of Robert and Isabelle Lougheed Congo. In addition to her husband, Harold Horton, who survives at home, she is also survived by two sons, James Barrett, Chestertown, and Bruce Barrett, Carmel; three daughters, Pauline Leverich, Napanoch; Rosemary McNamara, Hopewell Junction and Susan Booth, Carmel; two sisters, Virginia Marrone, Poughquag, and Beatrice Birdsall, Millbrook; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
