Death Victim
Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Sadie Lane Sitterson, 85, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter.
The services were conducted at Williford Funeral Home with Rev. R. N. Carroll officiating. Burial was in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sitterson was a native of Perquimans County. A daughter of the late Martin and Sally Potter Lane, she was born October 21, 1880.
Her marriage was to Charlie E. Sitterson.
Children surviving include two sons: Vernon M. Sitterson of Ocean View, Va., and Jimmie A. Sitterson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two daughters, Mrs. James E. Byrum of Edenton and Mrs. S. B. Ward of Orlando, Fla. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
She was a member of the Assembly of God.
