Millie was the daughter of Wiley Bolling and Elizabeth Lottie Pence. On 17 March 1845 Millie married William J. Chaney in Ashley, Washington County, Illinois. Her husband died in a military camp in Nashville, Tennessee, during the Civil War. Millie married a second time 23 October 1867 in Ashley, Washington County, Illinois, to Jesse Prevett.
