Alfred "Lou" Del Regno, 90, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at his home. Lou was born in New York, NY, grew up in the Bronx, NY, and lived in Barnegat for 7 years before moving to Green Briar Woodlands in Toms River 14 years ago. He worked as a credit analyst for the Bank of New York for 30 years retiring in 1987. Lou was a retired Sergeant of the US Army, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and member of the Men's Club in Green Briar Woodlands.
Lou is survived by his loving wife, Florence, his brother Sam Del Regno of Toms River, his sister Jennie Bosco of Bronxville, NY, his three nieces and a nephew, Anita Bischoff, Linda LoSchiavo, Nancy Zernel and Anthony Polizzi, five great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at D'Elia Funeral Home, Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday March 5, at 9:15 am at Saint Luke's RC Church, Toms River, with entombment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations, can be made in Lou's memory to your charity of choice.
