Funeral services for Bernard Spenkelink, 44, who died at his home at 7341 La Castana Valley, Buena Park, Calif., Wednesday, May 3, were held Tuesday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Renaker Buena Park Chapel. Mr. Spenkelink was born Aug. 22, 1916 in the Netherlands. He was married to Lois Gable from Akron, Nov. 25, 1946. They moved to Buena Park, Calif., four years ago. He is survived by his widow, Lois, two daughters, Mary Ann and Carol Dean, one son, John Arthur, his mother, Mrs. John Spenkelink, Rock Valley; a sister, Mrs. Martin Vander Velde of Rock Valley and a brother, Gary of Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his father John Spenkelink in 1954. The Rev. Louis Brouwers of the Community Reformed church officiated. A military funeral was held and interment was held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, Calif.
