Achsa Chaddock, 93, passed away at the home of J. J. Beaumont on June 19, 1935. She was born near Gainesville, March 16, 1842, the daughter of Wells and Phebe Smith Brainerd. She was united in marriage on July 31, 1867 to Flavel Kingsley of Perry. Two children were born of this union but in the spring of 1876 in a period of ten days, death claimed the husband and the children aged two and five. For the past fifteen years she has kept house for her cousin's husband, John Beaumont. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Ellen Gordan of Fairburg, Ill.; two nephews, William Brainerd of Castile, Alva Sheppard of Andover; a sister-in-law, Minnie Brainerd of Gainesville; several grand nieces and nephews. Burial in Maple grove, Gainesville.

In March of 1886, Achsa Brainerd Kingsley married Ransom Chaddock of Hornell, NY. Mr. Chaddock passed away in 1908. With the exception of about 30 years, Mrs. Chaddock was a resident of this community (Gainesville). The last 15 years she kept house for her cousin's husband, Mr. John Beaumont.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church with her pastor, Rev. Arthur Wright officiating.
