The remains of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hawley arrived in Corvallis Saturday from Grass Valley, Eastern Oregon., and were taken from this city to Simpson's chapel cemetery by conveyance.

A large number of old friends and neighbors were present to pay their last respects.

Mrs. Hawley resided for many years in Southern Benton county, going to Eastern Oregon about six or seven years ago. She was aged about 70 years.

She was the mother of Arthur Hawley of Benton County; Mrs. Isaac Lemon of Grass Valley, and Grant Hawley of Portland. Her husband died many years ago.

Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Isaac Lemon and family and Miss Jessie Hawley of Eastern Oregon; Mrs. Mary Male, Springfield; Mrs. Oscar Campbell and Miss Elva Branton of Camp Creek.

Mrs. Hawley was a sister to C. B. Starr of Monroe. She was widely known and held in high esteem by all who knew her.
