Doris Andrews, 84, of Athens, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. She was born Nov. 27, 1924, in Greenville, to the late Bill and Sally (Crockett) Blakemore. A lifetime resident of Texas, Doris, worked as a librarian and enjoyed painting. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Athens.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Andrews and Grandson Jon Heifner.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday Feb.24, 2009 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Joe Warren officiating. Services under the direction of Gordon-Foster-Brown Funeral Home — 402 Tyler St., Athens.
