daughter of William Wiley Turner (1822-1878) and Rosetta Lacy (1816-1871) Her parents died while living in Peoria, Hill County, Texas. Her mother (Rosetta Lacy)wished to be buried in Upshur County, Texas, her husband and son tried to bring her home to bury but bad roads forced them to bury her in Lancaster, Texas in an unmarked grave. William Wiley Turner is also buried in unmarked grave.

Granddaughter of William Turner (1792-1865) of Maury County, Tennesse and his wife, Martha Christian Caudle (1800-1886). They are buried in Haynes Cemetery in Maury County, Tennessee.

Three sons of William and Martha (William Wiley, Joshua C. and Elijah Mack) and one daughter (Talitha Millege (Turner) Petty)traveled to Texas in 1850's and settled in Upshur County, Texas.
