Mrs. Pauline Idella Shafer, 42, three miles east of Warren, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Clinic hospital of heart trouble following an illness of several months.
She was born in Van Buren, Oct. 2, 1903, a daughter of Harvey and Eura E. Love Huff. Her marriage to Weir Shafer took place Aug. 23, 1923. He survives. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Warren.
Surviving also are the children, Lt. Wade Shafer, stationed near Tokyo, Japan; Philip Shafer, of Detroit; Wauline, Lee and Larry, all at home; two brothers, Ned L. Huff and Dr. Chester Huff, of Hartford City, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Jones of Hartford City, and Mrs. Robert Lambert, of Indianapolis.
Funeral arrangements have not been made pending word from Lt. Shafer in Japan. Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery at Warren.
