Leonard B. "Lightning" Venable, 68, of Hollywood died Friday.
Funeral was Monday with Rev. Leon Venable officiating. Burial was in English Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelia Clopp and husband Robert of Huntsville; sons, Rodney Venable and wife Belinda of Madison, and Dale Venable and wife Barbara of Scottsboro; six sisters, Ellie Venable of Hollywood, Willie Venable of Hollywood, Arvada Stultz of Scottsboro, Pearl Light of Hollywood, Ruby Thompson of Skyline, and Cora Hambrick of Elkhart, Ind.; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Haddon of Scottsboro, Tamara Venable of Scottsboro, and Cody Venable of Woodville; two great-grandchildren, Emma Haddon and Hannah Tipton.
He was preceded in death by wife, Josie McAllister Venable; sister, Mary Lou Baugh; and brothers, A.W. Venable and Paul Venable.
