Mrs. Ruby Venable Thompson, 95, passed from this life on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Highlands Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her sisters, Aravada Stultz of Scottsboro and Cora Hambrick of Elkhart, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Thompson; parents, Ira and Effie Venable; brothers, A.W. Venable, Paul Venable, and Leonard Venable; and sisters, Ellie Venable, Mary Lou Baugh, Pearl Light, and Willie Venable.
