Miss Villa Daugherty, 81, died at 10:30 a. m. Sunday in the St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient 12 days. Her home was in Clarks Hill. She was a half-niece of Miss Lillian Carver of Mulberry.

Born near Clarks Hill, she made her home with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Grace Daugherty, and was employed as a practical nurse.

Miss Daugherty was an active member of the Clarks Hill Methodist church and Faith Chapter No. 193, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors are a brother, Charles E. Daugherty of West Covina, Calif., three nephews and one niece.
