"Mrs. Everett Coffin (Cora Waters) died at her home in Pleasant Plain May 6 (sic. May 4th, 1911 per inscription); born Nov 6 1876 in Washington County, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Waters. In Feb. 1899 married Everett Coffin, six children. . . . . Buried Friends Cemetery, Pleasant Plain."

Mrs. Coffin Died at Pleasant Plain.

Pleasant Plain, May 9 - Mrs. Everett Coffin died at her home in Pleasant Plain May sixth (sic. May 4th, 1911 per inscription) after an illness of several months. She was an estimable young woman highly esteemed by all who knew her and leaves a husband and six children as well as the family of her parents to mourn her loss.

Cora Waters Coffin was born November 6th, 1876 in Washington county, Iowa and was 34 and on half years old at her death. She resided with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Martin Waters until February 1899 when she was united in marriage to Everett Coffin. To this union were born six children, Albert, aged 7; Edith, aged 10; Bertha, aged 7; Mable, aged 6; Earl, aged 2; and Glen (sic. Glenn), aged 6 months.

Besides her parents the following sisters and one brother also survive her: Miss Ida Coffin of Pleasant Plain, Miss Myrtle Coffin of Fairfield and Mrs. Winnie Coffin Morrow of Galesburg, all of whom were present at the funeral. The brother is in California. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.

She was a great sufferer three long months, first having blood poisoning and then tuberculosis, which caused her death. She was a very patient sufferer.

Mrs. Coffin joined the Friends church several years ago and has lived a faithful Christain (sic) life. She was a loving mother and companion and to know her was to love her. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hanson of Libertyville, her former pastor on Saturday May 6th, at 11 o'clock at the Friends church and she was laid to rest in the Pleasant Plain cemetery.
