-Obituary.- The subject of this sketch, Alma K. Akers, daughter of Geo. M. and Ellen Akers, was born Jan. 10, 1879, and was married to Charley Huff, Sept 22, 1895. To them were born two children, little Ruthie departed this life June 9, 1890, and Alma after an illness of more than twelve months with that dread disease consumption, passed away to join little Ruthie in the spirit Land. Being very patient in her affliction manifesting much of the spirit of her Master, never murmuring or complaining at the providence of God. She united with the Friends church at Benson Chapel some time in October 1895. She leaves father, mother, husband, one child, three brothers and three sisters to mourn her loss. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. W.O. Angel, of Sullivan, at the Benson Chapel, Friday April 21, 1899, after which the remains were consigned to the narrow limits of the tomb to await the general resurrection.
