James Bonnette, 62, of Montrose died Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the Lake Village Health Care Center in Lake Village. A native of Lake Village and a resident of Montrose for most of his life, he was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Bernice Atwood Bonnette.
He is survived by three sisters, Peggy Mathes of Panama City, FL, Carolyn Fioranelli of Greenville, MS, and Theresa Barnett of Crossett; two brothers, Roger Bonnette of Leland, MS, and Philip Bonnette of Lake Village and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Allen Jackson and Rev. Dan Bonnette officiating. Burial was to follow at the Old Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were to be Roger Bonnette, Roger, Jr., Philip, Kevin, Bobby and Bobby Bonnette, Jr., and Michael and Ernest Mathes.
