OBITUARY;
CLARK, CHARLIE R., 73, of Route 1, Oakdale died at 10:55 a.m. Sunday at his home. Mr. Clark, who was a Charter member and Deacon of Rankin Chapel Baptist, suffered a stroke on March 14, 1958.
Survivors include Mr. Clark's wife Mae; four sons, Arnold Clark and Carl Clark of Oakdale, Walter Clark of Harriman and Albert Clark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs Myrtle Copeland, Mrs Mabel Blake and Mrs. Lela Watson of Oakdale, Mrs Eva Solomon of Kingston.
He also is survived by one brother, Oliver Clark of Harriman; three sisters, Mrs. Allie Ballard, Mrs. Carrie Harmon and Mrs. Mae Turpin, all of Harriman; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. (EST) Tuesday afternoon March 25th at Rankin Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Painter and Rev. John Goldston officiating. Pallbearers; Franklin (Buddy) Coffey, Leonard Coffey, David Coffey, Paul Adkisson, Lester Adkisson, Noah Jones and Kenneth Cook. Burial was in the church cemetery.
