C. O. Norton 'Dock' aged 73, of Piercetown, died Sunday, May 14, at St. John's Regional Health Center of Springfield, Missouri.
Born on January 1, 1916 at Western Grove, he was a son of Horace C. and Martha Jane Taylor Norton.
He was a retired merchant and farmer, a lifetime resident of Newton County and a charter member of Big Creek Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Boling Norton of the home; a son, Gerald Norton of Piercetown; two brothers, Earl Norton of Harrison, Leonard Norton of Kansas City, Kansas; four sisters, Inez Greenhaw and Lucille Smith, both of Vendor, Ova Smith of Stockton, California, Ava Cooper of Harrison, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bertha Norton Burdine and two brothers, Lester and Howard Norton.
