MRS. JAMES F. CASEY
Funeral services for Mrs. James F. Casey, 84, 609 Wright Ave. will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Berkemier Funeral Home.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Anthony and Michael Salviola, and Timothy, James, Victor and Raymond Casey.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o'clock this evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Casey died Tuesday at a hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Casey was the mother of Harold "Red" Casey, retired head of the
Police Department Identification Bureau.
Mrs. Casey, the former Veronica Schaaf, was born May 30, 1884, at Murdock, Minn. She married James F. Casey in 1904 there. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1914. He died here May 23, 1959. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, James of Hayward, Calif.,and Harold, Donald and Kenneth, all of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph (Margaret) Harbeck of Standwood, Wash., and Mrs. Max (Kathleen) Erwin of Jefferson; two brothers, John Schaaf of Waseca, Minn. and George Schaaf of Minneapolis; 21 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
