Pete Ira Hutson, 52, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at Lamar Hospital where he had been a patient since October 6. An electrician by trade, he had been employed recently in California, but had returned here, making his home with a niece, Mrs. Jack Mahaffet, 155 E. Washington St. He formerly was associated in the operation of the Wynn and Hutson filling station on N. Main St. here.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. A. H. Logan of Garrett Memorial Methodist Church was arranged for 3 p.m. Monday at Brown-Roden Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Pfc. Donald Hutson, with the Army somewhere in the North African area; a daughter, Mrs. J. L. England of Paris; a sister, Mrs. J. E. Jameson, Shreveport, La., and these brothers: G. T. Hutson, Olla, La.; Frank Hutson, Sacramento, Calif., Ivan Hutson, Paris and Mack Hutson, Jena, La.
