Husband of Elizabeth Akron Cahill.

Information from Robert Tong:
Because he failed to exercise care in removing a clay pipe from his mouth, John J. Cahill, aged 72, died at his home, 235 Midland avenue, early Thursday morning of cancer. Several years ago, when smoking a clay pipe, Mr. Cahill, taking the pipe from his mouth, failed to moisten the stem, and when the clay stuck to his lips, he hurriedly jerked it from his mouth, pulling off a small piece of skin. The sore became inflamed, later developing into cancer.
He has been a resident of Findlay for many years, and during the last years of his life, traveled to all parts of the city selling coal oil and buttermilk. He had been confined to his home more than a year. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. C. R. Brown, of East Folk avenue, this city. The funeral will be private, will be held at the residence at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, with burial in Maple Grove cemetery.
