Margaret Stepp was born on August 26, 1822, in Buffalo Township, Butler Co., PA, a daughter of Barnett Stepp and Elizabeth (Myers) Stepp.
Margaret married Lazarus Noel (s/o Jacob Noel and Catherine [Grainer] Noel) about 1840; and they became the parents of two sons and five daughters.
In 1955, upon her grandfather's death (John Barnett Stepp), Margaret and Lazarus received her grandfather's 150 acres of land in Butler county.
They returned to Chestnut Ridge (Ligonier), where Lazarus was raised, in 1875.
At the age of 59, Margaret died on November 3, 1881, in Ligonier, Pa.
She was preceded in death by two daughters.
