MRS. S. MORAN IS CALLED BY DEATH
Funeral for Well Known Worth Resident Held Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Stephen Moran, aged 72, were held at the home near Amadore at 1:30 p. m. on Sunday. Elder William Grice, of Worth Township, officiated and burial was made in the Croswell cemetery. Mrs. Moran died last Thursday in the Port Huron hospital following an operation and an illness of six days. Six of her grandchildren were her pallbearers, Mark, Howard and Junior Galbraith, William Moran, Max Moran and Robert Vernier.

Mrs. Moran is survived by her husband, three sons, Russell Moran, of Detroit; Glen Moran and Emerson Moran, of Croswell; five daughters, Mrs. Mose Clark, of Fremont Township; Mrs. Alfred Galbraith, of Worth Township; Mrs. Richard Golden, Mrs. Ray Vernier and Mrs. Fred Manchester, all of Detroit. She is survived by 22 grandchildren. One son, Harry, who was the eldest of the family, preceded her in death.

Also surviving her are six sisters and one brother. Mrs. Phillip Pray and Mrs. William Beckton, of Port Huron: Mrs. Ida Devine, of Saginaw: Mrs. Robert Clark, of Brown City: Mrs. William Hydorn, of Melvin: Miss Phena Bice, who lives at home, and Emerson Bice, of Jeddo.

Miss Georgiana Bice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bice, was horn in Ontario on August 8, 1864. She was married to Stephen Moran in June, 1887, and they would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary next June. They had lived on their farm near Amadore for about 27 years. Previous to that time they had lived on a farm five miles west, and two miles north of Applegate and in Downington, Michigan.
