Elsie Huzela of Carmichael, formerly of Charleroi, who celebrated her 100 birthday May 10, 2007, went to be with the her Lord Sunday July 15, 2007.

She was born May 10, 1907 in Beryl, West Virginia, a daughter of the late George W. and Abby G. Morehead Parrish.

She was a faithful and active member of the Seventh Day Adventist of Belle Vernon.
Survivors include a daughter: Sara Jane Curtis of Charleroi, four grandchildren: Karen Ann Trettel of Darlington, Pa., Thomas R. Reed of Santa Marie, CA, Gail Reed of Austin, Texas and Vernon R. Reed, Jr. of Pittsburgh., Six great grandchildren.

Elsie was the last of her family, having been preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Huzela, 1988, Sisters: Ruth Cosgrove, Dora Swartz, and Ada Watson and brothers: Howard, Robert G., Kenneth E. and Allan E. Parrish.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8, Tuesday, July 17, in the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes, Inc., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi where a funeral service will be conducted Wednesday 12:30 p.m. with
Stanley Belczyk of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Belle Vernon officiating.

Interment in Greene Co. Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
