Vernon J. Watts, 76, of Monticello died April 25, 1991 at Country Care Center, Pana. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church, Monticello with burial in Monticello cemetery.
Mr. Watts was born June 13, 1914 in Leslie ARK, s/o James G. and Lou Woodcock Watts. He married Shirley A. Richardson December 15, 1934 in Landis ARK. She survives along with a son, Duane of Orangevale CA; five daughters: Virginia Holsted, Alpena ARK; Kathleen Culbertson of Rosamond; Wanda Fay Lupton, Smackover ARK; Margaret Ingle, Mound MN; and Joyce Roberts, Mahomet; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delpha House of Springdale ARK. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Mr. Watts was a retired farm laborer; and member of the First Baptist Church, Monticello. Memorials may be made to the church or the donor's choice.
