Revolutionary War soldier. Son of Silvanus Delano 1720-1796, and Elizabeth Abbott 1721-1782. Married to Anna Slosson 1761-1851. Brothers Sylvanus 1745-1792, and Amos 1747-1828. On 11 July 1776, Aaron Delano marched from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, under command of Capt. Oliver Root to New York, and was dismissed Dec. 5, 1776; service, 21 weeks. On 5 July 1780, in Tolland, Connecticut he recieved bounty for service in Capt. Icabod Hinckley's company, second Connecticut Regiment, to serve for one year. May 1783, Aaron served as a Private in Capt. Nathaniel C. Allens 8th Company, 4th Massachusetts Regiment.
