Martha Rachel Miller, 86, of Pigeon, formerly of Midland, passed away Saturday, December 28, 1996 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

She was born in Napanee, Ind., on July 20, 1910, the daughter of the late Noah M. and Clara May (Yoder) Long.
She was united in marriage to Earl L. Miller on April 12, 1933 in Midland.

Her survivors include her husband, Earl L.; three children, Lowell Miller and his wife, Sue, of Knoxville Tenn., Maxine Kaufman, and her husband, Clayton, of Pigeon, and Leland Miller and his wife, Dorothy, of Goshen, Ind.; nine grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; two sisters, Lois L. Bowers of Goshen, Ind., and Lillian M. Aeschliman of West Unity, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Winnifred Nelson, and two brothers, Truman E. Long and Lael B. Long.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Pigeon River Mennonite Church. The Rev. Tom Beachy will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
