Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie McCarty (McCrary) Swanner, age 80, of Jonesboro, were held at 10:30 am Tuesday, April 24 in the Zions Rest Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Reuben Monk conducted the services. Burial was in the Zions Rest Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Swanner passed away Sunday, April 22 in Carter's Nursing Home in Jonesboro following a long illness.
She is survived by four sons, Lester Swanner of Bossier City, Elder Lelon C. Swanner, T. J. Swanner and Joe W. Swanner, all of Jonesboro; four sisters, Mrs. Tempie Pullen of Dodson, Mrs. Lola Dodd of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Ruby Beasley and Mrs. Mabel Beaulieu, both of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchilden and two great great grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Andy Walsworth, Danny Spring, Paul Hodnett, John Paul Johns, Bobby Aldy, J. H. Cook, Huey Massey and Curtis Swanner
