Mrs. Ella Mae Phillips of 3965 S. Broadway died at age 65 on Thursday, July 26, at St. Anthony Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1908, near Memphis, TN. Educated in Bloom, KS, where she married Benjamin Floyd Barnes in 1924. They moved to Montrose in 1945 and divorced in 1956. She and Buford J. Phillips were married in Amarillo in 1960 and moved to Denver in 1961. Both her parents preceded her. Memberships included the Neighbors of Woodcraft and Rebekah Lodge.
