Bob grew to manhood in Memphis and Scotland County, Missouri, united with Richland Baptist Church at an early age and graduated from Memphis High School in 1952. He retired from the regular Army July 31, 1977, being discharge from Fort Carson, Colorado. His 20 years military service included two tours of duty in the Viet Nam Conflict, Germany, Hawaiian Islands and various U.S. locations.
In November, 1981, he took employment with a civilian food service firm to prepare food for U.S. Military units overseas. He was located in Turkey until June, 1982, when he became ill with lung cancer, returned to his home and underwent treatment through Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Aurora, Colorado, during the last eleven months.
Services for Bobbie Lee Moffett of 121 Cherry Circle, Fountain, Colorado, were conducted Thursday, May 26, 1983, at 9 a.m. at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Chaplain Ray Ganey officiated. Burial interment with Military Honors was at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
