W. H. SHULTZ

W. H. Shultz, former citizen of Martinsville but for the past ten years a resident of Winston-Salem, N.C., died Saturday at Pearisburg following a lingering illness. He was connected with the Norfolk and Western Railway here until his promotion to a higher position with the company at Winston-Salem, and he had been recently retired.

Surviving are his wife and one son, Warick Shultz, of Winston-Salem. The body was brought to Martinsville where burial services were held this afternoon at the graveside in Oakwood Cemetery.

The deceased was born August 9, 1881, at Greenville, Va., but spent a greater part of his life here, moving with his family to Winston-Salem in 1924, to accept the position of traveling passenger agent. He retired from active duty some years ago and moved to his farm near Staunton to live.

Surviving are his wife and one son, John Warwick Shultz, the latter of Salisbury, N.C.; three brothers, Dr. F. S. Shultz and Early Shultz of Greenville; and William Shultz of Wadesboro, N.C.
