Funeral services for Wayne M. Allen, age 64, well known resident of LaFayette, have been set for Thursday morning, March 28, at 10 a.m. Mr. Allen passed away Tuesday, March 26, following an illness of two days. Services will be conducted from LaFayette First Baptist Church with Rev. C. C. Sanders conducting. Interment will be in LaFayette Cemetery with Johnson & Sanders Funeral Home in charge.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Alta Fant Allen; two sons, Russell Allen, West Point, GA and Harold Allen, U.S. Navy; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Still, Buffalo Route 1, Miss Mayme Lon Allen, LaFayette, Mrs. Carl Jones, Opelika, AL; two brothers, Albert E. Allen, LaFayette, and Paul B. Allen, Abanda; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Allen was a lifelong resident of Chambers County where he was engaged in farming for a number of years. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
