Merrill C. "Doc" Workman, 65, died Thursday, June 16, 1994 at his residence, 509 E. 10th St., Rushville.
Born Dec. 25, 1928, in Rushville, he was the son of Noble and Della (Goodpaster) Workman, both deceased. He was married to Hazel Hughes, and she survives.
He was a retired laborer in construction at Truster Buildings. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Richard and Robbie Workman, both of Rushville and Danny Workman, Mays, Ind.; two stepsons, Ronnie Hughes, Rushville and Danny Proffitt, Shelbyville; two daughters, Julie Workman, Evansville and Joanne Holmes, Rushville; two stepdaughters, Shirley Fussner, Milroy, Ind., and Denise Hughes, Rushville; two brothers, Harry Workman, Rushville, and William Workman, Syracuse, Ind.; four sisters, Laura Pierson, and Georga Golden, both of Marion, Ind., Peggy Smith, Glenwood, Ind., and Mickey Colonge, Goodletsville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.
The Rev. Donald Heller will officiate the services at 10 a.m. Monday in the Todd Funeral Home, Rushville.
Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
