Mrs. Bertha Peters of Keytesville died June 12, 1993 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Kunkel of Salisbury. Mrs. Peters was 92 years of age. She was the former Bertha Berniece Hulett and was born in Excelsior Springs February 4, 1901, daughter of James Bradford and Monima Cannaday Hulett.
She attended grade school in Excelsior Springs and Guide Rock, Nebraska. She joined the First Baptist Church of Excelsior Springs at the age of ten. Her present membership was at the First Baptist Church of Keytesville.
She graduated from Kearney, Missouri High School in 1920 and attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College in Maryville. She taught school in Clay County for four years. Mrs. Peters was a member of the Help One Another Extension club for 59 years.
She married Raymond S. Peters of Missouri City May 26, 1924 at Kearney. He preceded her in death December 19, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Flossie Mae Hulett, Mary Effie Ketron and Alta Lenora Myers.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Berniece and Ernest Kunkel of Salisbury and Niona and Edward Price of Mendon; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Helen Peters of Keytesville; one sister, Claracy Ingels, Olathe, Kansas; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Velma Hulett, Kansas City; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
