Paul C. Clapp, 85, of St. Paul, Indiana, died at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Waldron Health Care in Waldron.

Mr. Clapp was a line foreman, quality control at Knauf Fiber Glass, retiring in 1984 after 33 years service. A 1941 graduate of St. Paul High School, he was a lifetime resident of St. Paul and was of the Methodist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Shelbyville American Legion Post #70, St. Paul Kiwanis and St. Paul Odd Fellows.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul, with the Rev. Dave Galbraith officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009. Burial will be at Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mr. Clapp was born July 16, 1923 in Shelby County, Indiana, the son of E. Gordon and Elsie Fezzell Clapp. He married June Hanson March 27, 1948.

Survivors include his wife, June Clapp of St. Paul; sons, Rick (Beverly) Clapp of Bargersville and Tim (Kim) Clapp of Nashville; daughters, Diane (Morris) Bolin of Columbus and Sandia (Rolla) Hendrickson of Lakeport, Ga.; a brother, Glen (Florence) Clapp of St. Paul; a sister, Ruth Ryle of Greensburg; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Mr. Clapp was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and two sisters.

Born July 16, 1923, in Shelby County, he was the son of E. Gordon and Elsie (Fezzell) Clapp. He married June Hanson on March 27, 1948, and she survives.

Other survivors include his sons, Rick (wife, Beverly) Clapp of Bargersville and Tim (wife, Kim) Clapp of Nashville; daughters, Diane (husband, Morris) Bolin of Columbus and Sandia (husband, Rolla) Hendrickson of Lakeport, Ga.; brother, Glen (wife, Florence) Clapp of St. Paul; sister, Ruth Ryle of Greensburg; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Clapp was a lifelong resident of the St. Paul area.
