Flossie Barnard, 73, of Hill Springs Drive, London, Ky., passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Clay County, the daughter of Willie and Martha (Gregory) Chadwell. She was a housewife and member of Liberty Tabernacle Church in London.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Troy Chadwell, and first husband, Fount Wagers.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Barnard of London; daughters, Mattie Brain of Springville, Ind., and Floretta Whited of Columbus, Ind.; sons, Eddie Wagers of Centerville, Ind., Rick Wagers of Oolitic, Ind., and Beve G. Wagers and Scott Barnard, both of London; sisters, Flora Lawson and Mae Tedders of London, Bernice Cheek of Hamilton, Ohio, and Joyce Mills of Manchester; brothers, Earl Chadwell, Letch Chadwell, James T. Chadwell, Delbert Chadwell, Leonard Chadwell and Garrett Chadwell, all of London; ten grandchildren, Eric Hopkins, Melissa Whited, Dustin Brain, Nathan Wagers, Kyle Wagers, Jordan Barnard, Kaleb Wagers, Brianna Barnard, Christina Whited and Micah Wagers; and one great-grandchild, Savanah Hopkins.

Services were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at London Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lester Carpenter and the Rev. Nathan Wagers officiating. Burial was at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London. Eric Hopkins, Dustin Brain, Nathan Wagers, Kyle Wagers, Jordan Barnard and Kaleb Wagers were pallbearers.
