Funeral services for John R. Grable, 39-year old Henry County farmer, and member of a prominent West Tennessee family, who died early Tuesday evening in a Paris clinic, were held Thursday August 13th at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of Christ in Henry, conducted by Elder Fred W. Chunn. Burial was in Palestine cemetery.
Mr. Grable was the son of Mrs. Lillie Rushing Grable and the late Lee Grable, of Henry, where he was born and had spent his entire life.
Surviving Mr. Grable in addition to his mother, with whom he made his home, are two sisters, Mrs. Clark C. Mathis of Louisville, and Mrs. Paul Sims of Brownsville, both of whom were at his bedside, and two nephews of Louisville, Wallace Mathis and Paul V. Sims.
