Mrs. Amelia Franks O'Barr
Mrs. Amelia Franks O'Barr, age 91, died Sunday, April 1 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, April 2 at Arbor Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in Arbor Grove Cemetery with Rev. Bill Bailey officiating.
The daughter of the late John Franks and the late Littie Thorp, she was a retired homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Chickasaw County and was a member of the Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Benjamin F O'Barr.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bennie Mae Heair, Mrs. Annie Lois Easley and Mrs. Syble Williams, all of Houston; one son, Andy O'Barr of Houston; one brother, Tom Franks of Pontotoc; 20 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren
Pallbearers were Donnie Taylor, Phillip Bowles, Ronald Easley, Dennis Easley, Michael Heair and Frank O'Barr.
Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
