Ricky died on December 8, 2004 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born July 21, 1953 in Crosbyton to Jesus and Maria (Bustamante) Flores. He had lived in Crosbyton all his life and was a graduate of Crosbyton High School. He attended West Texas State University. He was a member of the New Vision Ministry Full Gospel Church in Crosbyton and had worked as a waiter at his family's restaurant for several years.

He is preceded in death by his father Jesus Flores who died June 22, 1970.

Survivors include; his parents; Moises and Maria Olivo of Crosbyton, three brothers; Estevan Flores, Pete Flores Michael Olivo all of Crosbyton, three sisters; Irma Rubalcado of Crosbyton, Mary Esther Flores of Gladstone, Mississippi, Ruth DeLeon of Lubbock, 14 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be; Isaac Flores, Isaiah Flores, Robert Aleman, Jared Aleman, Abraham Rubalcado, Michael Berdeja and David Haynes. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Nadia Rubalcado, Mia Olivo, Elijah Olivo, Ariel Flores, Stacy Saenz, Mindy Aleman and Kristi Jasper.
