CHERRYVILLE Mrs. Viola Thrift Huskins, 75, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
A native of Cleveland County, she was born May 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Isaiah Allen and Margaret Jane Mickel Thrift. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Cherryville, a devoted mother and wife and an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her husband Carl R. Huskins Sr.; a son and daughter in law, Carl R. Ronnie and Linda J. Huskins of Vale; daughters and sons-in-law, Jane H. and Jimmy Farris of Vale, and Leah H. Tena and Greg Wise of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Mount Zion Baptist Church, and burial will follow in the church cemetary.
