GILBERTOWN, Ala. – Services for Bernice Lewis Adams will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Churchof God, with the Revs. Clovis Lewis, Lester Page and Doyle Davis officiating. Burial will be in Gilbertown Cemetery with Phillips Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Adams, 83, of Gilbertown, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
Survivors include three sons, James Adams Jr. and Walter Adams, both of Gilbertown, and Tommy Adams of Branch; three daughters, Janice Phillips of Silas, and Rebeka Pruett and Carolyn Seats, both of Akron; four brothers; a sister; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the church.
