Great Uncle Fred was a Foreman for a construction company. He was on assignment in Liberia as a Carpenter when he passed away. Death Certificate states it was an accident that caused the fractured skull, but I'll keep an open mind on that. I've probably watched too many detective shows. *lol* ;)

He married Mabel DAUGHTERY (b. 17 Jun 1899 d. 19 Feb 1990). After Fred's death she and son Robert Louis "Bobbie" KOETHE moved to Georgia, then South Carolina. Some time thereafter, she married a Mr. Oscar F/H JOHNSTON / JOHNSON (b.c1888 Sweden d. 1940-1950 possibly Florida, Georgia or South Carolina). I haven't found Mable's resting place yet.
