A retired farmer and stockman, Mr. Adams had lived in the Lakin area since 1925, moving from Iowa. He was born on Dec. 14, 1905, at Mount Ayr, IA. On Dec. 19, 1931, he married Irene B. Henderson at Garden City.
He attended the Presbyterian Church at Lakin and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Garden City.
Survivors are his wife of the home; two sons, Garry Dean Adams, Lakin, and Larry Gene Adams, Wichita; one brother, Vernon Adams, Truth or Consequences, NM; one sister, Cleo Fouser, Lakin; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Lakin. The Rev. Charles Ayers will officiate. Burial will be at the Lakin Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Greene-Schneider Funeral Home, Lakin.
Memorials are to the Kearny County Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
