John S. Craft, aged 73 years, well known Noble county educator and retired farmer, died at the family home at Mt. Ephraim, Tuesday afternoon of last week, following an illness of heart trouble. He was the last of a family of seven children born to Snyder and Rachel Craft, former residents of near Chaseville. He was married twice - first with Miss Lillian Cope of Hiramsburg, who died several years ago. Later he was united in marriage with Mrs. Mamie Spring Shafer of near Mt. Ephraim, who survives with two children by his former marriage: Mrs. Arthur Thompson of Byesville, and Dr. O.R. Craft of San Francisco, Cal., who arrived at his father's bedside only a few hours before death came.

Mr. Craft was a member of the Baptist church and at the time of his death was a member of the board of education of Seneca township.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Mt. Ephraim. Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. John Rich of Senecaville. Burial made in the church cemetery.
