Eileen Abbott Baldwin, 85, of Rushville, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born June 24, 1920, in Hartford City, she was the daughter of Arthur and Maudella (Borden) Abbott, both deceased. She married Frederick Baldwin March 18, 1945; he preceded her in death April 23, 1993.

Mrs. Baldwin was a 1938 graduate of Rushville High School. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi, OES #231 in New Palestine and was an active ballroom dancer in Orange County, Calif.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela K. Edmondson of Thornton, Calif.; one sister, Mary V. (Mrs. Robert) Amos of Rushville; extended family members, Dan and Lin Smith of Warilla, Australia; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with the Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Kanarraville Cemetery in Kanarraville, Utah. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Rush County Community Foundation.
