Mary V. was a 1934 graduate of Rushville High School. She married Robert Hildreth Amos on February 6, 1938. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2008.
Mary V. had been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for over 80 years. She was also active in Psi Iota Xi-Iota Chapter, Martha Poe Chapter of OES # 143, Rushville Chapter of PEO, charter member & former council member of Jobs Daughter-local & state levels, United Methodist Women, Noble Niters Home Ec Club and active in the Gray Lady organization thru New Salem High School.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice & husband Victor C. Seiter of Indianapolis, sons, Don & wife Margie Amos of Rushville, Joe & wife Ada Amos of Greer, SC and William & wife Katharine Amos of Santa Rosa, CA, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Mary V. was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two great grandchildren and a sister, Eileen Abbott Baldwin.
Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor's Pat Smith & Jan Dimick presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 6-8 PM Friday evening.
Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
An OES service will be held at 8 PM Friday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church.
