August 28--- Mrs. Mary Lou Pool Johnson, age 85 of East Dublin died Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 30 at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church, Laurens County with Reverend Ben Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Johnson County and was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Allie Kight Pool; husband, Herschel B. Johnson; brothers, Truitt Pool, Spergon Pool and Raymond Pool; sisters, Dallie Rea Rogers and Evonn Attaway; and grandsons, Kevin Alex Johnson and Herman Chap Johnson, Jr. She was retired from Shamrock Pants Factory, Dublin and was a member of Pleasant Springs
Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Herman (Gail) Johnson, East Dublin, John Johnson, Killeen, Texas and Mary Alice (Dennis) Durden, Lyons; grandchildren,
