Mrs. Mary A. Suttle, a pioneer citizen of Texas, died at the home of her only living child, Mr.s W.D. Early. Services were held at the family home conducted by Rev. C.W. Hearon of the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Suttle married J.J. Suttle in 1856. He preceded her in death. Interment was made in the local cemetery. In 1873, the couple came to Texas, and in 1890 moved to Taylor County where they have lived since then. Mrs. Suttle joined the Methodist Church early in life. Survived by her daughter; four brothers including Miles Mathis who formerly lived in Baird, and now lives in Wichita Falls. Mrs. Suttle was well known in Callahan County, having lived in the Tecumseh community for several years.
