Survivors include his brother Claude Wayne Blackwell of Glen St. Mary; sister Loretta Rowe (Butch) of Macclenny; nephew B.J. Rowe, and niece Mandi Canaday (Mitch), great-nephews Avery and William Canaday all of Macclenny; aunts Toria, Higginbotham (E.D.) of Maxville, Bernice Raulerson, Shirley Rhoden, and Sally Cooley (Jerry), all of St. Augustine, and uncle Johnny Sweat (Alene) of Baldwin.
The graveside service was held Wednesday, May 30 at South Prong Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Wayne Anderson officiating. Pallbearers were Ronald, Henry, Donald and Bill Thigpen, Reed Kline, Stanley Perry, Victor Brand, and Robbie Morris. Arrangements were under the direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services.
