Info about her husband James Thomas Ross (Marshall):

James Thomas was born under the Ross name. The story really deals with his father James Thomas Ross. (I recently wrote a history of Sr. at http://sophrosynean.wordpress.com/2012/01/08/
meredith-graham-wedding/). Basically it boils down to this. Senior's father was a Meredith. A court gave him the Ross name and when he married he used the Ross name. All children, including James Thomas Ross Jr. were given the Ross name as well. Later in life to obtain his social security benefits, Senior reverted back to his Meredith last name. Junior changed his name to Meredith too. He is the only one of the four siblings to do so. This father and son never used the Sr. and Jr. designation, but I have used them to explain. James Thomas Ross and James Thomas Meredith are the same person. I believe the links in Find-a-Grave show these familial relationships, despite the names.
